Your Blood Cells and HbA1c in One Check

Assess red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and long-term glucose
regulation with one convenient home blood collection.

The included Tasso+ EDTA device collects a small whole-blood sample from your
upper arm. Fasting is not required.

Hematology: Complete blood count with five-part differential

Glucose regulation: HbA1c and calculated average glucose

Collection: Tasso+ EDTA device included

Sample: Minimum 400–500 µL EDTA whole blood

Results: Typically within 1–3 working days after arrival

Red Blood Cells and Oxygen Transport

Haemoglobin, haematocrit and red-blood-cell count
Assess the circulating red-cell mass and the blood’s capacity to transport oxygen.

MCV, MCH and MCHC
Describe red-cell size and haemoglobin content. Their combined pattern helps
classify microcytic, normocytic and macrocytic changes.

RDW
Measures variation in red-cell size. Increased variation may appear during
developing or mixed nutritional and haematological patterns.

White Blood Cells and Immune Distribution

The test reports the total white-blood-cell count together with a five-part
differential:

  • Neutrophils: innate defence, particularly against bacteria
  • Lymphocytes: adaptive and antiviral immune responses
  • Monocytes: phagocytosis and tissue immune surveillance
  • Eosinophils: allergic, parasitic and selected inflammatory responses
  • Basophils: histamine-containing cells involved in hypersensitivity responses

White-cell results are reported as absolute concentrations and, where applicable,
percentages of the total white-cell count.

Platelets

Platelet count
Measures the number of circulating platelets involved in primary haemostasis
and blood-clot formation.

Mean platelet volume – MPV
Describes average platelet size and may provide context regarding platelet
production and turnover.

HbA1c and Average Glucose

HbA1c measures the proportion of haemoglobin that has undergone non-enzymatic
glycation. It reflects average glucose exposure over approximately the previous
two to three months.

Your HbA1c result is also converted into an estimated average glucose
value to make the result easier to relate to routine glucose measurements.

Why Combine CBC and HbA1c?

A complete blood count provides information about oxygen transport, immune-cell
distribution and platelets, while HbA1c assesses longer-term glucose regulation.

Red-cell findings also provide important context for HbA1c. Anaemia, altered
red-cell lifespan, recent blood loss or transfusion and some haemoglobin variants
can influence HbA1c independently of glucose.

When Can This Test Be Useful?

  • Routine general-health monitoring
  • Persistent fatigue, weakness or reduced stamina
  • Monitoring known anaemia or blood-cell abnormalities
  • Frequent infections or immune-health concerns
  • Unexplained bruising or platelet-monitoring needs
  • Diabetes-risk assessment or HbA1c monitoring
  • Monitoring lifestyle or prescribed glucose treatment

Simple Home Collection

1. Receive your kit
We deliver the complete Tasso+ EDTA collection kit directly to your home.

2. Collect from your upper arm
Place the device on your upper arm and press the button. A small whole-blood
sample is collected automatically.

3. Mix and return
Mix the EDTA sample exactly as described in the instructions, pack the tube
and return it promptly using the supplied materials.

4. Receive your report
Your CBC, five-part differential and HbA1c are analyzed by an accredited
laboratory. Results are typically available within 1–3 working days.

Before Collection

Fasting is not required. Maintain normal hydration and collect your sample
while seated and rested.

Avoid unusually strenuous exercise immediately before collection because it
can temporarily influence white-cell and platelet results.

Collect and return your sample from Monday to Thursday to reduce weekend delays.

Understanding Your Results

Your report provides the CBC, white-cell differential, platelet results, HbA1c,
calculated estimated average glucose, measurement units and laboratory reference intervals.

Abnormal red-cell indices may indicate that ferritin, vitamin B12, folate,
reticulocytes or other investigations are needed. A CBC does not independently
determine the nutritional or clinical cause.

HbA1c may be less reliable during pregnancy, after recent blood loss or transfusion,
with altered red-cell survival, advanced kidney disease or certain haemoglobin variants.

Samples containing clots, insufficient volume or excessive deterioration during
transport may require recollection.

Blood cells, immune distribution and long-term glucose in one home test.
