Dr. M. AttyaPhD in Clinical Biochemistry
Your laboratory report contains valuable information about your health. Dr. M. Attya helps you understand what the results mean, how they relate to one another, and which findings deserve attention.
His approach combines clinical biochemistry with a functional medicine perspective: considering your results alongside your symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, health history and personal goals.
Consultations are currently in English. Written advice and emails are available in English, Dutch or both when needed.

Looking at the whole picture
A single result rarely tells the whole story. Blood sugar, nutrients, hormones and organ function can influence one another.
Dr. M. Attya looks for relevant patterns to help clarify concerns such as insulin resistance, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and other biochemical imbalances. When environmental exposure is a concern, he helps explain what testing can show and which further steps may be appropriate.
The aim is to establish clear priorities and understand where additional assessment would be useful.
A practical plan based on your needs
Whether your goal is better energy, improved metabolic health or healthier ageing, your consultation connects your findings with realistic actions.
Recommendations may include adjustments to food, physical activity, sleep and daily habits. Where supplements are appropriate, their selection is guided by your results, individual needs and existing medicines or supplements.
You will understand what each recommendation is intended to address and how progress can be reviewed.
Follow-up with a clear purpose
Follow-up provides an opportunity to discuss your progress, review relevant changes and adjust your plan. Repeat testing can be considered when it will help assess your response or guide the next decision.
If a finding requires medical investigation or treatment, Dr. M. Attya will explain the importance of discussing it with your treating doctor.
