Check Your Hormones After Ovulation

Measure progesterone and estradiol during the mid-luteal phase
to assess the hormonal pattern following ovulation.

The included Tasso+ device allows you to collect your sample at home at the
correct point in your own menstrual cycle.

Markers: Progesterone and estradiol

Timing: Approximately 6–8 days after ovulation

Collection: Tasso+ device included

Sample: Minimum 100 µL serum

Results: Typically within 1–3 working days after arrival

What Does This Test Measure?

Progesterone
Progesterone is produced mainly by the corpus luteum after ovulation. It supports
the secretory transformation of the endometrium and helps maintain the luteal phase.

A mid-luteal progesterone result can provide biochemical evidence consistent with
recent ovulation, although one measurement cannot fully assess progesterone production
across the entire luteal phase.

Estradiol
Estradiol continues to be produced during the luteal phase and works alongside
progesterone to support endometrial development and reproductive physiology.

Correct Timing Is Essential

Collect your sample approximately 6–8 days after ovulation, when
progesterone is generally near its mid-luteal peak.

Cycle day 21 is only appropriate for someone who ovulates around day 14 of a
28-day cycle. If your cycle is longer, shorter or irregular, collection should
be based on your estimated ovulation date instead.

As an alternative guide, collect approximately seven days before your next
menstrual period is expected.

How Can You Estimate Ovulation?

  • A positive urinary LH ovulation test
  • A sustained rise in basal body temperature
  • Changes in cervical mucus
  • Ovulation tracking confirmed by a healthcare practitioner

Following a positive LH test, ovulation commonly occurs within approximately
24–36 hours. Count 6–8 days from the estimated day of ovulation.

When Can This Test Be Useful?

  • Confirming a hormone pattern consistent with recent ovulation
  • Irregular or unpredictable menstrual cycles
  • Fertility assessment or cycle monitoring
  • Short or variable luteal phases
  • Monitoring prescribed fertility treatment
  • Further assessment after a cycle-start hormone test

Simple Home Collection

1. Receive your kit
We deliver the complete Tasso+ collection kit directly to your home.

2. Track ovulation
Identify or estimate your ovulation date and schedule collection 6–8 days later.

3. Collect from your upper arm
Place the device on your upper arm and press the button. A small blood sample
is collected automatically.

4. Return your sample
Pack and return the tube according to the enclosed instructions. Results are
typically available within 1–3 working days after arrival.

Before Collection

Fasting is generally not required. Collect in the morning whenever possible and
record your cycle day, estimated ovulation date and usual cycle length.

Hormonal contraception, progesterone, fertility medication and hormone therapy
can substantially influence the results. Do not stop treatment without medical advice.

Understanding Your Results

Your report provides your progesterone and estradiol concentrations together
with measurement units and luteal-phase laboratory reference intervals.

Progesterone is secreted in pulses and can fluctuate considerably during the day.
A single result is therefore a snapshot and should be interpreted with collection
timing, cycle history and ovulation tracking.

One measurement cannot independently diagnose a luteal-phase defect, determine
egg quality or establish the cause of infertility. Repeat testing or additional
clinical evaluation may sometimes be appropriate.

Two essential luteal-phase hormones, collected at the right time.
