What Does This Test Measure?

TSH
Shows how strongly the pituitary gland is stimulating the thyroid.

Free T4
Reflects the principal hormone produced by the thyroid gland.

Free T3
Reflects the active thyroid hormone available to tissues.

Anti-TPO antibodies
Detect antibodies against thyroid peroxidase, an enzyme required for thyroid
hormone production.

Anti-thyroglobulin antibodies – Anti-Tg
Detect antibodies against thyroglobulin, the protein used by the thyroid to
produce and store thyroid hormones.

Why Include Thyroid Antibodies?

TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 show how the thyroid system is functioning. Anti-TPO
and anti-Tg provide additional information about possible autoimmune activity
involving the thyroid gland.

Thyroid antibodies may be present before substantial changes appear in thyroid
hormone concentrations. However, antibodies can also be detected in individuals
with normal thyroid function and must be interpreted in context.

Simple Home Collection

1. Receive your kit
Your complete Tasso+ collection kit is delivered directly to your home.

2. Collect from your upper arm
Attach the Tasso+ device and press the button. A small blood sample is
collected automatically into the attached tube.

3. Return your sample
Pack the tube using the supplied materials and return it according to the
enclosed instructions.

4. Receive your report
Your five thyroid markers are analyzed by an accredited laboratory. Results
are typically available within 1–3 working days after your sample arrives.

Before Collection

Fasting is generally not required. For consistent results, collect your sample
in the morning whenever possible.

Do not stop prescribed thyroid medication without medical advice. If you are
monitoring treatment, collect at a consistent interval relative to your medication.

High-dose biotin can interfere with some thyroid laboratory methods. Follow
the preparation instructions provided with your kit.

Your Results

Your report presents all five results together with measurement units and
laboratory reference intervals.

Thyroid hormones and antibodies should be interpreted as a combined pattern.
This panel can identify findings that may require further clinical evaluation,
but it does not establish a diagnosis by itself.
