What it measures:
Urinary biomarkers related to isocyanate exposure.

Why it matters:
Isocyanates are well-known respiratory sensitizers and can contribute to asthma-like symptoms, airway irritation, and occupational lung disease risk.

Common exposure sources:
Spray foam insulation, polyurethane products, paints/coatings, adhesives, automotive/body shops, construction/renovation work.

Sample & methodology

• Sample: Spot urine (first morning preferred)
• Method: GC or LC-MS/MS (quantitative)
• Reporting: Creatinine-corrected concentrations with interpretive comments
